Part Two:European Trip- Venice, Dubrovnik, Monte Negro, and Sorrento

After having a blast in Istanbul we got on a plane and headed to Venice, Italy. Upon our arrival a taxi took us to the pier where we embarked on a cruise. Since the cruise was not setting sail until the next day, we registered and left our luggage's to go walk around Venice. It hadn't been my fist time in Venice, but since the last time I went, I had forgotten some certain things except its beauty. There is something about those gondolas that you have to love, and the fact that the person steering the gondola signs to you while you take the ride, it really is a fascinating experienced. Another thing I love about Venice is the masks, they are so beautiful and delicate and each time I saw one I fell in love. To conclude Venice was, like the Italians would say, "squisito". The next day when I woke up I was suddenly in Dubrovnik! That's what I find so great about cruises, one day you are here and another day you’re there. Dubrovnik was beautiful we mainly walked around the town and took lots of pictures. The Next destination the cruise headed to was Monte Negro, a small country with nice beaches which is characterized by its medieval villages. After having a day at sea, we made it to Sorrento, South Italy, were we took a tour to the Amalfi coast, and let me tell you that the Amalfi coast had some spectacular views that, would be priceless for a painting or a drawing. (pictures below)

Part One:Europe Trip-Istanbul

One year ago I got to go to different parts of Europe and It was beyond beautiful! The People where great, the views were breath taking and the food was delicious. My first stop in this trip was Istanbul which used to be Constantinople. Let me tell you that I was very excited for this trip since I had studied and read so much about this place in my Ancient World History course. I could not believe my eyes seeing all this places that I had seen once in books, and now seeing it in person and knowing about its ancient history. First place we visited upon are arrival in Istanbul was "The Sultan Ahmed Mosque" also known as the 'Blue Mosque' because of the blue tiles that adore the walls in the inside. The Second Place we visited was “"The Hagia Sophia”" which means “'Holly Wisdom'. This monument was originally built as a cathedral in Constantinople, but then it became a mosque and now a museum. The Third place we went to was “The Topaki Palace,” which was the primary residence of the Ottoman Sultan for about four hundred years. The next day we got up bright and early and headed to ‘The Grand Bazaar’ know as one of the largest and oldest covered market in the world. Then we were off to ride in a boat, which we had a great time and got to take great pictures. I have to say that my experience in Istanbul was really great, and hope that one day I am lucky enough to go back and get to visit the other spectacular places I did not get to see in this trip since there is so much to see but so little time.
